Easter Eggs/Facts

COMPLETELY forgot to post this when it first came out - sorry everyone! Anyway; here's a list of some Easter Eggs/cool facts from the New Moon movie from the director:
On Bella's copy of Romeo & Juliet, a picture from Volterra covered the book.
The camera drop during Paul and Jacob's in-transformation tussle was intentional to recreate the look of an actual animal knocking over the camera.
In front of Emily's house, there was a drum actually given to the production crew by a member of the Quileute Nation.
The opening of The Twilight Saga: New Moon with the moon phasing backwards was also intentional to reflect accuracy in phasing.
Aro says "Fore ... ne il vostro l'uno o altro" to Bella in the Volturi lair, meaning "Perhaps ... nor yours either" (regarding whether he understands Edward's soul).
There were three new placements of wolves in The Twilight Saga: New Moon. There was one in Twilight in Bella's room, and the three are in Carlisle's bowl, on Jacob's tee-shirt when he talks to Bella in the parking lot, and on the dream-catcher.
The song being played in the Italy elevator scene is Die Fledermaus by Strauss. This translates to "The Bat."
Bella carries a golden compass on her backpack into the meadow . . . baggage?
To make Edward move quickly before the birthday kiss at Bella's house, a double was used as Edward in the driver's seat, but Robert Pattinson waited alongside the camera.
"Kwop kilawtley" is what Jacob said to Bella in the kitchen.
Was absolutely furious with myself when I found out Aro's Italian lines are COMPLETELY different from the translations I'd tried to do XP. Guess Italian isn't my thing. Haha XD
Still trying to find out what "Kwop kilawtley" means - rumours are going around that it means "Stay with me forever", which would be kind of sweet - but this has not yet been confirmed.

Sorry for the long update - news has been verrrry slow lately, hope you all had a great Christmas!

Check out these pictures of the deleted scenes we can expect to get on the New Moon DVD - Victoria driving in her (snack-laden..?) car, and Alice and Edward (on their return from Italy?). Maybe this will be the scene where Charlie tells Edward to never set foot through his door again. Haha!

As you probably all know, different Twilight fan websites have QandA sections for Twilight related questions for Stephanie Meyer. I wanted to post a few of my favourites off Twilexicon (I have millions of favourites, these are just a few!):

Q from twilight-fan Electra: Who was Embry’s dad?

A: That question was in there like 17 times. Now I know that a lot of people are mad when I say that I’m not going to say, because you know what? I’m not even sure that I know. I know that sounds crazy, but really there are secrets that my characters keep from even me. And I had that experience with Rosalie actually when I first started working on Twilight. I had no idea she didn’t like Bella and her character was really flat and sort of half way through I figured out ‘Oh, she hates Bella!’ and then she was easier to write. So sometimes my characters don’t tell me everything. I have my suspicions.

Q: What happened to Billy Black that he can’t walk anymore?

A: He has diabetes, which caused nerve damage in his feet and legs. He hasn’t had to have anything amputated yet, but he’ll never walk again.

Q: Has Gianna been turned into a vampire and did she join the Volturi?
A: I’m sorry to say, but Gianna did not make the cut. Gianna’s not with us anymore, um, that’s one of the problems with working for the Volturi. It’s a hazardous job.

DVD info for New Moon

DVD info for New Moon that emerged weeks ago and I have finally got round ot posting! Sorry everyone! Anyway, here's what Chris Weitz has revealed:
"There will be a commentary track - it’ll just be us riffing off each other in our intimate way. We kind of like each other, so that should be fun. There will be probably about 20 minutes of deleted material. It really is good stuff and a bonus for the fans.”
From MTV infomation gathered, some of this footage should include:
A scene with the human characters eating Burger King. Another scene with the humans, this time with Justin Chon and Michael Welch expressing jealousy over Edward’s car. More scenes with the Volturi in Italy. An extended cut of the scene where Mike Newton quotes Shakespeare to Bella in the Forks High parking lot; in it, he does a Marlon Brando impersonation. Scenes alluding to the ongoing breakup between Newton and Anna Kendrick’s Jessica.
Sounds AMAZING! Rumours are going round at the moment that the DVD will hit stores in Feburary - can't waaiiiitttt! Hopefully the scenes will leak online...I'll post the links here if I find any.
One topic I want to bring up (for comments, maybe...?), is the score of New Moon. Unfortunatly, found that I have an awful lot to say on this topic!!! Anyway, here goes:

I thought this was FANTASTIC LY composed music and much better than the Twilight score, which I did like, but not as much as New Moon. It had recurring themes for both Jacob and Bella and Edward and Bella (gorgeous piano!!), and an overall "New Moon theme" which was beautiful (more gorgeous piano and violins), and kept returning at key points the movie, as did the reletionship themes. Even the Volturi had a theme (a very creepy walz) which would hop in and out throughout the long Italy scene at the end, when Aro or one of the others would say a particually evil/mysterious/creepy line - BRILLIANT! There was none of this music-fitting-with-characters-and-what-was-going-on-on-screen in Twilight, which is fine I suppose, but I love the way they did this more in New Moon.

My only complaint for the score (though I don't blame this completely on the music) was that there were just a few moments when it seemed a little bit overdramatic for the context. Like, Kristen Stuart would breath loudly and shout out a really dodgy, badly written line, trying to be sad and dramatic but failing because of the terrible script peice, whilst the music was wailing heartbreakingly in the background. It came across as a tiny bit cheesy sometimes. But I don't blame this all on the composer, because if, say, it had been a genius screenplay with oscar-winning actors doing the scene, the music would have fitted fine and sounded great. So...yeah, I suppose I blame that mostly, though of course not completely, on Melissa Rosenberg's occasionally very poor screenplay, which caused the actors to mumble their more embarrassingly bad lines.

Woah I like to waffle. Ah well. Maybe I'll get some nice comments in reply to my waffle...? That would make my day :D anyway, will post soon, thanks for reading!

New Moon grosses over 200 million!

New Moon has now officially grossed 206 million pounds in North America in the eight first days of release. WOW. Summit must be ecstatic!

Also, some rumours have been flying round that Ashley Greene and a few other Twilight actors and actresses would like a man called Tim Burton to direct Breaking Dawn. I've never even heard of this guy - anyone here know him?

Going to see New Moon again in just FOUR DAYS!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!

Just to say that in about a week or two time, I shall start discussing the movie on this blog, because by then I think everyone shall have seen it. I'm so desperate to start talking about it and hearing other people's thoughts!

Let's hope New Moon continues to disgust the critics, please the fans and break ground shaking records!

New Moon is breaking records, and though the critics hate it, the fans love it. So if you haven't seen it yet, be reassured it is AMAZING.

It was INCREDIBLE.
Won't spoil it for you yet, but expect a long winded review in a few weeks when (hopefully) everybody has seen it.
Quick opinion: Jacob and Bella relesionship BRILL. Jacob the best. Micheal Sheen (Aro) so utterly fantastic I can't praise him highly enough. Alice HILARIOUS and so cute. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT AGAIN!!!
An incredible movie. This is a day to be remembered...

Rotten Tomatoe Breakdown

I'm having a mental breakdown because Rotten Tomatoes (major reviewing company) has given New Moon a horrible, terrible, appalling, tear-jerking, heartbreaking 32% out of 100.

One week to go

One week to go before New Moon, fans are already lining up for the premiere in the USA on MONDAY (yup, I know, mental) and I'm just about exploding with excitement. Here is a new picture released today. I like Bella's watch!

I'd like to recomend an incredible, brilliant, fantastic, hilarious Twilight Podcast. It's called "Imprint" and you can subscribe to it for free off itunes. Type in "imprint" into the search on itunes, and click the podcast with a red ipod in a pair of hands as the logo/picture. It's the best Twilight podcast out there, easily. They do great discussions, competitions, calls, news etc. I HIGHLY RECOMEND IT!!!

Michael: I did have one little moment where – I was buying a pair of jeans in Los Angeles and I went into the little cubicle to try them on. Came out quite tentatively of my little cubicle to have a little look in the mirror, you know worried about that moment. And as I pulled back the curtain there was a woman on the other side holding various items of clothing, shaking, and saying, “You’re Aro, aren’t you?” So I went back in my cubicle and hid. That was a slightly scary moment. So if that’s anything like what’s about to come, I might have to go around with a bag over my head.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He sounds like such a lovely guy. Grrr that lucky lady in the clothes shop...

Neglected

I've neglected this blog so much! This is partly because I don't have access to a computer (my house is being demolished and re built...well, half of it...) and partly becuase not much has been happening, to tell you the truth. Eclipse ending, and clips galore

May I ask who voted that the Jacob and wolf pack clip sucked? Because I need to personally hunt them down for a dia punishment...

Eclipse filming is coming to an end, according to David Slade (director)'s twitter acount. Ashley Greene (Alice) and Peter Faccineli (Carlisle) are wrapped up, not sure about the others yet. But Eclipse will soon be filmed!

Millions of new clips are being released at a mental speed I can't keep up with. Volturi footage, two tv spots, makingofnewmoon, whole break up scene, parking lot scene, wolf pack....it's mental. So far, I have only watched the wolf pack itunes released scene *grins smugly*

I'm not planning to watch any more footage, because most people I've talked to who did watch it are now regretting it. So...I'm waiting for the whole movie, but if any of you want all the links to the scenes and tv spots etc. leave a comment and I will post them.

I know only two people or so are actually checking this blog lol, but I love doing so ah well. I'll keep it up for now.

Picture picture pictures, they truly rule the world. VOLTURI!!!!!!!!!!!
"Alec and Jane": Alec and Jane. Need I say more? Amazing as always.
"Three leaders": Cauis, Marcus and a random face from the side of the screen who I think is Aro. Cauis is yes, still too plain gorgeous, but SO COOL! He's sitting in such an...Cauis-ish way! Whooo I rock at vocabulary today!
"Hand over the Porsche, Alice *growl*": Cool picture, but again REDUCE, RE-USE, RECYCLE (as they say on bob the builder) yet again with the Alice-being-strangled. Grr.


My only complaint is that they re-used the shot of Alec and Marcus from the posters. Meh. Money-saving tweek. Grr. I knwo recycling's good and everything, but really, giveu s some new shots summit!

Pictures rule the world

Hi - so much news! Right, here we go...
1. New Moon movie companion officially released. A big full colour photo book full of basically a million pictures and info on the movie. I'm planning not to buy this, cos it always gives away everything.

Sounds like a pretty unusual soundtrack - love the first song though.

Ancient Emily

New photo from movie companion! The companion is nw in bookstore/amazon, ready to be bought - and I'm having a battle with myself. Thing is, if I get the companion it'll have so many pictures I'll have pretty much seen the movie won't I? But part of me is longing for more pics...argh! Anyway, here's a newly released picture of Emily and wolf pack eating MUFFINS!!! YUMMY!!!

Emily looks really old lol. I mean, she's gonna marry Sam and he's twenty. Ah well...

Howdy everyone - sorry there's been no good new for past week or so! Here are some new posters though.

Just one thing about the Cullen one - Edward leaves in New Moon, and here they show them both tightly glued to each other. I mean...just seems a bit odd...

Another bit of news - rumours going round that at the rome film festivel in october, 20 mins of New Moon footage will be realesed! According to several articles and websites. If this is true, then WOOT! I'll put the links to the footage here if its posted anywhere online.

When the vampires sparkle we need to use a special camera filter to expose it on film. Otherwise the film over exposes.

Today, vampires talking, vampires kissing, rain stayed away. We had to battle the sunlight to keep our vampires from sparkling too much.

Wolves wolves wolves, my corrected english. The schedule has been a bit furry of recent. Shooting vampires very soon.

Night shoots, Wolfs Wolfs wolfs, the rain dumped on us but we had to keep shooting until 5am. Then of course the rain drifted away.

Yesterday Taylor had to carry Kristen for several hours, he held it together - hope he can lift his arms today. Rain dumped on us all day.

Worked w/entire Cullen family today. @peterfacinelli borrowed my camera, took my picture being strangled by Jackson, will upload later...

Killer Carlisle

This is an official screenshot from Eclipse. In it, you can see Carlisle wearing a very suitable shirt and the wolves having a pyjama party. I applaud the wardrobe department for this wonderful t-shirt of Carlisle's. It suits his character unbelivably well.

Pride and Prejudice?

Hey Everyone. Wow. I'm completely overloaded with news. So many new things out!

First up is this new shot from the New Moon movie companion (release date on calendar, right and side of screen) of a "dream sequance" that Bella and Edward have together in the movie.

Wowzers. OK in my opinion this looks like a Jane Austen movie...what's-it-called....pride and prejudice? Yeah that's the one. Except Edward doesn't look like the Mr. Darcy I saw on an old movie. Ah well. Anyway, Bella looks very pretty, especially with the gloves, and can't wait for more images to come out with the movie companion!

Just wanted to say again thank you to Renn and Hilda for commenting on nearly EVERY post. I LOVE COMMENTS! Ok, more news soon. M x

Isn't he a good contender for the Bryal (?) Cream contest? His hair is...PERFECT. Actually....he looks a bit like a Draco Malfoy with longer hair. I mean, his hair on top is DEAD SMOOTH like Draco's. These harry potter connections lol...
WOAH. Marcus looks...way too interested. I thought he was supposed to be bored all the time? Like a zombie...well, he looks like a zombie lol, but a way too interested one. Ah well. Maybe they change his character a bit for the movie.
You can see the Volturi crest really well in this shot too - that pendant thing. I've got a close up of it in another picture - may put that on another post. It's a "V" with green in the middle. Looks a bit like Slytherin's symbal actually. Chamber of secrets style. It's green like slytherin too. MORE harry potter connections! Very mysterious...

Cool outfit Alice!

Wanted to do these two first because of this fact; is it just me, or is Alice tons paler than Aro? I really think she is...more make up needed...

I mean, doesn't Aro's skin tone look closer to Bella's than Alice's? OK maybe I'm exagerationg. It's no big thing - I don't mind at all cos he's pale looking in the trailer - but I was wondering what everyone else thought...again, no big thing. More pics tomorrow - vote on the poll! M x

Strangled and screaming, and PG13ing...that doesn't quiet rhyme...

New Moon has had it's official rating anounced - it's to be a PG13 for action and violence.

Found out that interestingly enough, New Moon is to be released on the day of a new moon, and Eclipse released during an eclipse! How cool is that?

Also wanted to point out something you've probably ALL noticed, as I talked about it before, but I'll say it anyway so you can see. In this picture, you can see Alice in the background being strangled by Demetri like we saw in that earlier photo!

Oh I really should take up a career in arrow drawing.
